In this two day workshop for beginners, you will learn how to weave and create a round stake and strand basket. 

This workshop is for beginner weavers, with no or little experience weaving. 

During this beginner class you will learn the basic techniques to make a traditional round stake and strand basket: the base slath, twining, waling, french rand and the border.

We will also talk about how to prepare willow for weaving and how to select the appropriate sizes of willow for the different parts of the basket.

The finished basket will be approximately 25 cm (10") in diameter and 30 cm (12") in height. You can decide if you want a handle on the basket or not.
